Experience
Kevin brings extensive investment and financial experience from his time at RBC Dominion Securities. As an Associate Advisor, he worked with one of Western Canada’s largest wealth management teams, supporting portfolio modeling, security analysis, financial planning, trade execution, and portfolio rebalancing. He received the 2017 RBC Performance Award in recognition of his contributions to the team.
Key Responsibilities
Kevin is a member of Cypress Hills Capital’s underwriting and origination team. He conducts due diligence and credit analysis on prospective and existing lending facilities, including assessments of borrower cash flows, collateral, pricing, transaction structure, covenants, and downside risks. He prepares and presents recommendations for consideration by the Head of Underwriting and the Investment Committee, evaluating each opportunity in the context of the fund’s existing exposures, concentration limits, liquidity and available portfolio capacity.
Kevin also has a senior role in treasury management. His responsibilities include administering the firm’s debt facilities, evaluating fixed and variable-rate exposure, coordinating interest-rate swaps and other hedging activities, monitoring facility covenant and reporting compliance, and reviewing and approving monthly borrowing-base reports.
In addition, Kevin contributes to the fund’s financial reporting and accounting operations and contributes to budgeting, financial planning, internal controls, and audit coordination.
